Homemade corn dog, crispy corndogs recipe

Corndog recipe

Corndogs are a very famous street food in Korea. It has a unique taste and texture. You only need flour and dry yeast, and you may also use sweet rice flour if you want to create corndogs at home. The corndogs must then be battered, placed on wooden skewers, and then deep-fried.  You'll get layers that are crunchy and crispy as well as distinct flavours.

Simply follow these easy instructions to make Korean corn dogs with a perfectly balanced savoury and sweet flavour and crispy texture.

Korean Corn Dog Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt, fine
  • 1-cup of hot water
  • 1 teaspoon dried and active yeast
  • 1,500 grammes of all-purpose flour
  • Sweet rice flour in a quarter cup
  • 4 hotdog sausages (Frankfurters)
  • 3 by 4 cups panko breadcrumbs, 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • One big egg

Method to prepare corndogs at home:

Take a sizable basin and combine the salt, sugar, and warm water to prepare the Korean corn dogs at home. The water should be between 50 and 60 degrees Celsius.

After adding the yeast, thoroughly stir the mixture in the basin. To ensure that the yeast dissolves completely, set the bowl aside.

In the same bowl, combine the egg,  all-purpose flour,  and glutinous rice flour. To create a batter with a smooth texture, combine them with a spatula.

Use a lid or cling wrap to cover the bowl and set it aside. For an hour, you shouldn't mess with the batter to let it get to room temperature.

Take a pan with a deep bottom, and add oil to it.  Turn on the flame to bring the oil's temperature up to roughly 175 degrees.

Place breadcrumbs from panko and flour on two different dishes. Arrange all the ingredients, including the flour dish, ramen noodles, and corndog batter.

Put the hotdog sausages on the chopsticks that are made of wood.  Then sprinkle some flour over the hot dog sausages to help the batter adhere.

Place the mixture, one after one, on the Korean corn dogs' chopsticks. Simply begin at the top and spread the batter evenly over them in a circular motion. Be sure to apply the batter to the Korean corndog chopsticks in an equal, thin layer.

Now fry the corndogs until they get cooked.
